Renault Trafic Campervan Furniture: Check Access Before Filling the Floor Plan

Renault Trafic campervan furniture should be planned around access before storage capacity. A cabinet may fit the available wall and still be difficult to use if its door opens into the bed, the entrance or another person.

Start with the exact Trafic version and a clear list of priorities. Keep the arrangement simple enough that cooking, sitting and sleeping do not each require a complete repack.

Record the van as it stands

Note the model year, body length, roof arrangement, door positions and existing trim. Photograph the interior at several heights and record the proposed finished lining. Similar-looking vans or related model platforms should not be treated as proof of furniture compatibility.

Measure the door openings as well as the usable floor. Include wheel arches, seat movement where relevant, and the taper of the walls. Use the furniture measurement checklist to organise the information.

Draw every opening in the daily layout

Add cupboard doors, drawers and the bed in their working positions. Show the person using each item. A narrow aisle may feel acceptable while everything is closed and become blocked when breakfast ingredients are being taken out.

Decide which activities need to happen together. If one person cooks while the other reaches clothing, check that those storage areas can be used without moving hot pans or stepping over the bed.

Give the bed’s loose parts somewhere to go

For a convertible sleeping area, list every part that moves: table, cushions, bed boards and bedding. Mark both daytime and night-time storage. Do not allocate the same cupboard to two groups of items that need it at the same time.

  • Keep the exit route available in the sleeping layout.
  • Check access to personal items after the bed is made.
  • Provide suitable travel retention for removable components.
  • Leave equipment inspection points accessible.

Our space-saving changeover guide helps test the complete routine rather than judging only the final bed position.

Use the easiest storage for daily objects

Place frequently used food, clothes and utensils in compartments that can be opened without dismantling another activity. Reserve less convenient space for occasional gear. This can be more effective than adding another cupboard in the walking route.

Check the actual internal openings before buying boxes or organisers. A container needs room to be lifted out and a useful temporary place to stand while you reach the compartment behind it.

Confirm the furniture scope before ordering

Ask for the module dimensions, materials, fitting requirements and a clear list of included parts. Agree who designs and installs the vehicle mounting and any plumbing, cooking or electrical systems. Keep the furniture brief distinct from the equipment specification.

NEVAN’s other vans and custom builds enquiry is the starting point for checking a Trafic project. Send the exact vehicle details and access drawings; availability and a suitable fit need confirmation before a kit is assumed to be compatible.
